MY TOP 25 FOR NOVEMBER 2021

Another month has gone by. The year is almost over and it's that time when AOTY lists are buzzing in preparations. November? Oh well, another 400 new releases! Here's my hot take - almost all of the albums we withness lately are equally bad so that we enjoy almost every new release to the extent it is the greatest album ever...Does it make sense? Are there really strong albums? Yes, there are. Very few! Are there albums with great staying and stating power? Yes, there are but very few. Lists are momentary snapshots of our moods, emotions, situation, environment, circumstances we are into. But how often do we return to ALL the albums we praise? Hmmm... I am realizing that I tend to listen without a heart but to judge based on my experience. Very few albums really move me deeply as before when all the klassics were born.

With all these thoughts comes my November list. I shortlisted almost 70 albums before selecting the below 25 with a clear winner and then (almost) in no particular order! It wasn't easy just because of the above reasons! I couldn't make the cut to 20 for the above reasons again. No reviews or thoughts on each album. And of course, I always question and challenge myself: what am I going to listen to frequently from my choices? Very few... What about you?

  It is again that time of the year when we reflect back and prepare the AOTY lists. As usual, I have a Black Metal Top List, Death Metal Top List, and AOTY List of course. And here we go! Here's MY TOP 50 BLACK METAL ALBUMS OF 2024 list - the black metal albums I liked the most, made the best impression, and spent the most time with. Probably this list is too unkvlt, to pretentious, too colorful or contains equally some mainstream hipster albums along with some UG ones. So what?! Did I like the albums? Yes. Are they good? MY TOP 20 OF JANUARY 2024

The new year started with a kick in the ass. It's like 2023 never existed or everything merges in one big whole. The time is merciless. It is already the end of January and it is that time again when I usually post my favorite new releases of the respective month. January'24 could have been more inspiring, or after THAT 2023, now everything seems weaker? I do believe a lot of the below-listed albums are going to drown and I won't return much to them in the year. Still, few are going to be on my AOTY list.  What else? We have to be very grateful that in 2024 we have Saxon at full speed and they are releasing this good album. Naturally, it is my album of the month, closely followed by some very good UG releases. MY TOP 50 DEATH METAL ALBUMS OF 2024

I already published  MY TOP 50 BLACK METAL ALBUMS OF 2024 , so here comes the DEATH METAL of 2024! Death Metal did OK in 2024, with some really impressive releases! Now I take the opportunity to present what I listened to the most, what made me the best impression, and what I spent most time with during this already gone worthless year.  After careful consideration, ULCERATE's cutting throats album took the highest spot. The severe competition came from Absolute Elsewhere which is super close behind. I'll keep on listening to these two in the future. And not only that. The whole list consists of very good albums that have the potential to stay a bit longer than usual. Let's see.
