MY TOP LIST FOR SEPTEMBER 2022

Well, this time I'm going to leave here most of the albums I really liked from the enormous September'22 release schedule. It's been an intense and hectic month in all aspects, including new albums. And I can say there was quality. September gave us plenty of very good releases.

My favorites are below in no particular order as usual so you can find glorious stuff even in the end (that Hegemone for instance). I'm hesitant about my album of the month - Wolfheart or Sumerlands. Doesn't matter, does it? Both are fantastic. 

Actually, the list could be longer, but I decided to stop at a certain point. I have it all in my notes or wishlisted on Bandcamp. I still have to digest many other new albums from this month but the below list really gives a view of what made me a real impression. Except for Megadeth. I decided to include it in the list because I'm sure I'll keep on trying to like it in the next months. Maybe I'll like it, who knows? Other than that who knows what will grow more till the end of the year and what will stay on my AOTY list and in the future. I was thinking today - I'm closing September and I'm already in a rush for the October schedule, already forgetting what's been out and on the present list.

MY TOP 20 OF JANUARY 2024

The new year started with a kick in the ass. It's like 2023 never existed or everything merges in one big whole. The time is merciless. It is already the end of January and it is that time again when I usually post my favorite new releases of the respective month. January'24 could have been more inspiring, or after THAT 2023, now everything seems weaker? I do believe a lot of the below-listed albums are going to drown and I won't return much to them in the year. Still, few are going to be on my AOTY list.  What else? We have to be very grateful that in 2024 we have Saxon at full speed and they are releasing this good album. Naturally, it is my album of the month, closely followed by some very good UG releases.
