MY TOP 10 FOR SEPTEMBER 2018

Autumn is here. Leaves are falling in the colder shorter days, under the colder sun...September passed imperceptibly. Naturally the music which was released was much more than the hours I could have listened to and it was again difficult to choose the finest 10. In the end it happened to be very diverse selection. There were too many bands releasing in September from all kinds of genres...Top 10 shaped with a lot of potential bonus tracks. Fatal 13 in total here though.

CAULDRON - New Gods

Below In Ruin, but still very enjoyable. Cauldron doing what they do best - revive the good old times.

NECRONOMICON - Unleashed Bastards

What a thrash record by the veterans! Grabbed me instantly with its tempo and melodies. Absolute thrash gem in 2018!



Sorcier Des Glaces - SDG
Release Date: 15 September 2018

Atmospheric to the core. Multiple pieces gathered perfectly in one track for 50 minutes. One of the best BM records for 2018.

 This grew very fast. Superb atmo/melodic black with some Tribulation and prog nuances here and there

 This is another sick album. Still the clear progressive ICS Vorthex-type (!) vocals are killing me, but the rest is superb chaos.





Did I miss something? Of course I did! For sure many important releases not included in that list. Just to mention Aborted, Riverside, Dalkhu, Suicidal Tendencies, Therapy?, Witch Ripper, Emmui, Deicide etc., which couldn't make it to here...

MY TOP LIST FOR MAY 2023 (Expanded)

May 2023 was an interesting month. Not many distinguished names, but rather bands and albums that get under the skin. In the meantime, I saw Watain and Pantera live and spent quite a good time with some old klassiks that helped me clean my ears from the contemporary sugar-coated plastic fantastic metal for dummies.
