MY TOP LIST OF NOVEMBER 2025

This is the last monthly top list for 2025! Next - the AOTY lists. November delivered some excellent albums, and I have at least 5-6 in mind that are landing on my various end-of-year lists.

For album of the month I am torn between Omnium Gatherum's May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way and Blut aus Nord's Ethereal Horizons. Both are just great. Omnium Gatherum album is quite a surprise, but it is catchy, memorable, uplifting, and sexy (ffs). You can sing along and enjoy a lot! Blut aus Nord is transcendental, out-of-this-earth, drifting you away again, making you forget reality with tears in your eyes... 1914 also released a brilliant album, so less cheesy than the previous.

And then the rest - yes, the below list contains good stuff out of the needless pile of releases that I go through every month. These 25 I selected are everything you need from the November'25 release schedule.

In less than a month, and as usual, I'll be publishing my 2025 favorites in the death metal and black metal genres. Then the all-rounder AOTY list. Until then, enjoy the finest November 2025 releases.

Omnium Gatherum - May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way (Bandcamp) My sexy guilty pleasure. It is motivational and uplifting. It is rare to have such albums most recently. Hell yeah! And I have never been into this particular style besides a couple of exceptions.
Blut aus Nord - Ethereal Horizons (Bandcamp) Absolute ethereal fire.
1914 - Viribus Unitis (Bandcamp). Less cheesy, much more intense, heavier. Return to the roots. Great album.
Bell Witch - Stygian Bough Volume II (Bandcamp). Slow, deep and hard of course. Shorter tracks. Impactful for me.
Veilburner - Longing for Triumph, Reeking of Tragedy (Bandcamp) Another twisting and turning album. Better than their previous two releases. Needs listens.

Fimbul Winter - What Once Was (Bandcamp) A great discovery in the melodic death metal field. So good!
Mezzrow - Embrace The Awakening (Bandcamp). Thrash!
MALEFIC THRONE - The Conquering Darkness (Bandcamp) Gene Palubicki (Angelcorpse, Perdition Temple), Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel) and John Longstreth (Origin, Hate Eternal, ex-Angelcorpse) 🔥🔥🔥
Bliss of Flesh - Metempsychosis (Bandcamp) French BM/DM of the highest order. Melting. This album is FFO of Watain.
Haimad - When Night Rode Across The North (Bandcamp) Followed the band since The Return. It is mid-90s style, melodic, symphonic Scandinavian Black Metal.

Clandestine Blaze - Consecration of the Blood. The new one is out. Not as good as their previous ones, just to continue the discography, but every release of CB deserves praise.
Phobocosm - Gateway (Bandcamp). Suffocating DM. Heavy AF.
Ildaruni - Divinum Sanguinem (Bandcamp). I loved the melodic BM here. Armenian.
Depravity - Bestial Possession (Bandcamp). Another crushing album by the Ausies. Heavy death metal again.
VoidCeremony - Abditum (Bandcamp). Another twisting and turning record on the list. In fact it takes multiple listens to appreciate this one. Don't leave it after one spin.

Glorious Depravity - Death Never Sleeps (Bandcamp). It is a solid second album, coming 5 years after the very good Ageless Violence. It needs few spins too.
Perdition Temple - Malign Apotheosis (Bandcamp) Four new songs and four covers of intensity and chaos.
Dead and Dripping - Nefarious Scintillations (Bandcamp). Another sick effort of cosmic disso oddly-creative DM album
The Ominous Circle - Cloven Tongues of Fire (Bandcamp). "Sophisticated yet raw, dynamic and fierce, presenting a different approach to songwriting while continuing the path of 2017's acclaimed "Appalling Ascension", "Cloven Tongues of Fire" delivers 43 minutes of black-infused Death metal with monolithic slabs of doom."
Shores of Null - Latitudes of Sorrow (Bandcamp). Split with Convocation. That all means heavy and doom.

Agnostic Front - Echoes In Eternity (Tidal). Love this one in the gym. 💪
Kostnatění - Přílišnost (Excess) (Bandcamp). Not as good as Upal for me. Maybe I need more listens to chew everything.
Waldgeflüster - Knochengesänge I and II (Bandcamp). I just like the band. It is a double album and it requires a wintry mood and sadness.
Decrepit Altar - Egregious Defilement (Bandcamp). EP of devastating heaviness.
Qrixkuor - The Womb of the World (Bandcamp). This one absolutely didn't meet my expectations after the mindblowing Poison Palinospia full-length debut. The symphonic parts are prevailing, which really annoys me and turns me off.

If you don't see your favorite release of November'25, or you agree or disagree, you can always leave your constructive comments and remarks. Cheers!
